Repair Cafe

Berkhamsted and Northchurch Repair Café is a volunteer run service offering people the chance to bring their broken items to be repaired - reducing waste, saving money and resources, and working towards a more sustainable future for our community.
Where: Northchurch Social Centre, Bell Lane , Northchurch HP4 3RD - see their website for a map etc. Free parking on site.
When: The first Saturday of every month 9.30am - 12.30pm (please check the Facebook events page - as sometimes we do not run in January and August)
How it works:
1. Pop down to Northchurch Social Centre with your broken item(s) from 9:30. Depending how busy we are, we may not be able to accept repairs after 11:30, so we recommend that you come early.
2. Check in your item at our reception desk and sign to say you’ve read our T&Cs.
3.One of our repairers will assess your item and attempt to repair it.
4. Ideally you will sit with your repairer and learn some repair skills yourself! Or you are welcome to wait in our café area - either way drinks and refreshments are available. You can also leave your item and come back to collect it, before 12:15.
5. Collect your fixed item and check out at the Reception desk - we welcome a donation for your repair to help us cover costs, grow the Repair café and donate to local charities.
6. Please contact us beforehand if you have a very large or unusual item to make sure that we are able to help.
